I absolutely adore Julie and Sam. They are the kind of parents that make you think that parenting doesn't have to mean giving up the life you had before. And holy smokes do they make cute kids!

Julie and I have know each other for about 5 years now, but it feels like a lifetime! Our daughters are almost the same age (and both named Emily! Hey, great minds...) and from the moment we met, we both just knew that we "got" each other, and shared so many ideas and opinions.

With the pair expecting their second child, they really wanted to capture these last days as a family of 3, and I was really honored when Julie asked me if I would do a session for them. We started with a family photo session at one of my favorite locations in South Orange County. We were able to get some adorable family images, a few of just the parents, and some of that adorable baby girl.

Julie also wanted to get some maternity photos; something she didn't do when she was pregnant with Emily, so we did a quick outfit change, and moved on.
